Happy Birthday Metro Chinese Weekly! A year old and the Metro Chinese Weekly is still continuing to grow, establishing 56 pages in the publication. There is a special edition for the Chinese New Year in the newspaper. A number of community and business associations have taken out 12 full pages of advertisements to congratulate the Metro Chinese Weekly and to wish a Happy Chinese New Year to the readers to develop a closer relationship with the community.
Readers cannot believe that one-year have already passed. Cheryl Wong, a local Chinese resident working at a major bank in Delaware said, “From the very beginning, I knew it would be a successful newspaper by just looking at the format they laid out, even though they only had 24 pages at that time. Now, look at how heavier they are and how thin the other competing papers became.” |
